My everyday makeup routine....

Today I'm going to be writing about.... yep, you guessed it..... my everyday makeup routine!

This is the makeup I go for on a normal day at work or when I don't have a lot of time to get ready. I can do it pretty fast but it still looks like I've put a bit of effort in. I'll explain all the products that I use and the tools I use to apply them. I'll also try and link them all at the bottom so that you can buy them if you want!

Firstly, I like to prime my face. I use the B. Prepared Makeup Primer. Its relatively cheap and is on deal quite a lot in Superdrug but makes a massive difference to your makeup. I normally use a five pence sized blob, rub it between my fingers and then apply it all over my face. This is great for filling in pores and stops your makeup sliding off.

Next I apply my foundation using a Real Techniques Sponge. At the moment I'm liking L'Oreal True Match in Ivory. It gives great coverage and stays matte all day. I usually take 3 pumps to cover my face and I'll always make sure to blend down my neck. I'm really pale and even this foundation can be a little dark for me. I've only recently started using a sponge to apply my makeup and I really love it. It gives much fuller coverage and stays in place much longer than when using a brush.

For concealer I use MAC ProLongwear in NW15 to cover my blemishes using a Revlon brush. I blend this is with my sponge as well. This does exactly what it says on the tin. Covers well and stays for ages! I conceal under my eyes with MAC Prep & Prime Highlighter in Light Boost. This comes with a little brush application which is very gentle on the under eye. The product itself is very lightweight so doesn't settle into the lines under you eyes and is great for colour correction so conceals any dark circles. I use a line of this down the centre of my nose, a tree shape on my forehead, on my cupids bow and on my chin to highlight. Again I blend all of this in with my sponge.

To set everything, I use my MAC Mineralize loose powder in medium and a Real Techniques Powder Brush. I try to pat the powder onto the areas where I've applied the concealer so I don't move it out of place. Everywhere else I really just give a light covering to keep my face matte.

Next, I fill in my eyebrows with MAC Veluxe Brow Liner in Strawberry Blonde. This is my favourite brow product. One end of the liner has a brush so you can comb your brows into place and the other is a pencil to fill in your brows. I try to follow the natural shape but I do have a to overdraw a little in the centre to even them up and fill in the bald patches on the edges (I pull my eyebrows out when I'm stessed - yes I know its weird).

I then use MAC ProLongwear Eyeshadow in Pink Frontier all over my lids with a Real Techniques shader brush. Nothing special about this. I just make sure its even. Then I line my upper lash line with the Maybelline Master Precise Liner. The colour says Forrest Brown but it looks black to me!

While I let the liner dry, I contour my face using my Sleek Contour Kit in Light using a MAC Duo Fibre brush. I put the darker shade in the hollows of my cheeks, and if I can be bothered around my jaw line and on the sides of my forehead. Then I highlight my cheekbones (or rather the part of my face where they would be if I had any!) and my brow bone using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. Highlighting your brow bone really  makes a big difference. It lifts your whole face while still looking natural.

I apply a little blush to the apples of my cheeks to give my face a little colour. For this look I used my Sleek Blush in Life's a Peach and my Real Techniques Blush Brush.

I go back to my eyes once the liner is dry and curl my eyelashes. I have no real technique to this, just squeeze until they're curled. Then I use my MAC Extreme Dimension Mascara on my top and bottom lashes. This is by far the best mascara I've ever used. It really separates all your lashes and extends them to the point where it can look like you're wearing falsies. I have used other mascaras since buying this but nothing even compares!

I finish off my look by lining my lips with MAC Liner in Naked and using MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme de Nude.

This is a lovely natural look and doesn't take too long to do. If you want to see a video of me doing this look, visit my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/BronchusBoy and subscribe for more lifestyle chat!
